DSL Connection Sharing
By Jack Kennedy

Using an internal DSL modem is not always such a great idea because it comes without hardware support, which is a crucial factor for the connection. Using an internal DSL connection was a choice worthy of consideration in the past, but not so much today. Most people opt to have an external adapter because it comes with the critical technical support.

Two Choices

In todays market, you have two major choices. One is to get your DSL connection modem through a third party and the other is to acquire it from your ISP provider. Also, by using a third party you will not be able to get the required back-up when necessary.

Using a third party is fine when you can choose your own hardware. However, though a choice may be available with your ISP provider (technical support), they may not readily share it with you. If you can use your own hardware

Low Light Photography
By Alex Tabony

Taking good pictures in low light can be achieved in a number of ways. To maintain a proper exposure you may need to increase aperture, reduce shutter speed, use higher ISO or use a flash just as with a film camera. However with digital photography there are additional considerations.

Increasing aperture (lower F-numbers) opens the lens' internal blades that restrict light from entering the camera. By letting more light in, you can obtain the proper exposure while keeping other camera settings the same. The two issues to consider when using a reduced f-number, is the reduction of depth of field and that most lenses do not perform as well at their widest apertures.

Lowering shutter speed without making other adjustments can also help in getting the proper exposure. The rule of thumb is to set shutter time to no less than the focal length of your lens. So if you are using a 50mm lens, you should generally try to keep the shutter speed above 1/50 of a second. This will help prevent motion blur of the image due to camera shake (tripod
